  Many companies intend to operate at the global level, therefore, the world-class manufacturer and strategic supplier selection have the highest priority for their success. This paper tries to design a supplier evaluation model to select the suppliers that can operate at world-class level and are capable of strategic co-operation with the main company.

  Global strategic supplier selection model is a mathematical model with multi stage algorithm. This mathematical model is relevant to Iranian companies’ needs in the process of selecting the suppliers with two specifications:

  1. Operating (producing) at the global level.

  2. Having the capability of strategic co-peration with them.

  The developed model, was applied to determine the best fifty suppliers. The results showed that the pervious ranking of supplier companies is not valid. The new supplier statistically selection model, change the pervious ranking by 96%, thus the two-mentioned hypothesis were confirmed.
