Abstract

Lack of exact knowledge about internal human resource potentials is a widespread organizational problem. Organizations seek to hire experienced managers from outside their firms whereas, paying a closer optimistic attention to the human resources present inside the firm reveals the fact that there are quite capable human resources present inside the organization who might be able to help the organization reach its goals even better than those from outside. This study aimed to design a fuzzy multi-criteria decision making model for manager replacement in Transportation Organization throughout the country. To this aim, managerial competence criteria were identified through literature review, library studies and Kruskal Walice and binomial statistical tests and the ratio test of social success. Then the sub-criteria weight was determined by weighted mean and criteria weight was determined by AHP technique. Finally a fuzzy multi-criteria model was developed by which candidates for management positions were ranked.
