Abstract

In this article, the effects of organizational culture on knowledge man-agement have been examined. The samples of this survey are the em-ployees of Industries and Mines Ministry and the data have been col-lected by questionnaire. Individual initiative, Management support, In-tegration, Control, Risk tolerance, Reward system, Identity, Direction, Communication patterns and Conflict tolerance have been studied to evaluate organizational culture. Knowledge acquisition, knowledge creation, knowledge storage, knowledge transfer and knowledge ap-plication have been used for measuring knowledge management. After factor analysis, the factors of knowledge management have been inte-grated and reduced to three factors (knowledge Development, know-ledge sharing and knowledge application and exploitation). Since the questionnaire of organizational culture is standard, it was not changed. Results show that organizational culture affects knowledge manage-ment and can act as a context for its emergence.
