Using TOPSIS Method for Making Decision regarding Privatization of Government Sector Services Based on Fuzzy Logic: A Case Study in Post Company of I.R.IRAN
Privatization for improving the quality of public services is a major challenge for many countries. In this study, we propose a methodology for privatization of government sector's services based on Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) techniques. Since uncertainty in information usually exists in decision making environment, fuzzy set theory concepts are used to make the final decisions. In the proposed method, after selecting privatization criteria, Entropy method is used for obtaining weights of each criterion, and after that TOPSIS method is applied for prioritizing services. Then Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) is used to make decision about the selection of services for privatiza-tion. Finally, a case study in Post Company of I.R.IRAN is done to il-lustrate the proposed methodology.
