Agility is a set of capabilities and competencies that an organization needs in order to thrive and prosper in a continuously changing business environment. This paper aims to study the effect of Information Technology (IT) on the agility of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The research consists of two questionnaires. The first one is designed and distributed among the considered SMEs to assess the agility of them. Then the SMEs were categorized into three groups: agile, semi-agile and non-agile. The role of IT in these enterprises was tested by the second questionnaire which is distributed among the managers of these organizations. The statistical findings show that Information Technology has a key role in the agility of SMEs.
