Managers realized that knowledge has an important role in attaining their competitive edge and strategic goals. Therefore, knowledge management (KM) implementation has become a main challenge for the managers. Lack of proper infrastructures and prerequisite, may cause failure on the successful application of knowledge management. In this paper, based on literature review, proper factors for implemen-tation of KM have been identified. Then a conceptual model for readi-ness is proposed. Based on analysis of this model the indexes are clas-sified using factor analysis and Friedman test. Then, effectiveness fac-tors related to KM readiness are extracted. Having these indexes, the managers are able to coordinate KM implementation in their organiza-tion.
