In this paper after reviewing the necessity of scientific decision making, the multiple decision making models and the analytical hierarchy process are briefly defined as the techniques for decision making in human judgment. Then, considering the importance of inconsistency in analytical hierarchy process, the modified version of least square method is used to obtain the overall priority of alternatives and a simple method is given for detecting and improving the inconsistency factor in pair comparison matrix
