Continuous improvement of competitive activities is one of the biggest worries of organizations acting in competitive environment. Strategic agility is known as
one of the most important indexes of industries growth due to fast response to customers’ needs and fast flexibility to environmental changes. On the other
hand, efficiency guarantees organization life through cost reduction, prevention of resources loss, and increase of competitive advantage. Therefore, influence of strategic agility on efficiency in banking is surveyed. Statistical population includes state and private banks and those state banks transforming to private in
Iran. The data related to strategic agility and efficiency are relatively gathered by questionnaire and real data. Findings show that strategic agility affects bank efficiency and also it has positive influence on deposit staff per capita and deposit branch per capita but has no influence on asset return, facilities staff per capita, and facilities branch per capita.
